Kigamboni, Dar es Salaam – 30 July 2026
Kuvuka Hub has taken another significant step in advancing technology, skills development, and community empowerment through a new strategic partnership with the Kigamboni District Mafundi Association.
During a productive meeting between the Chairperson of the Kigamboni District Mafundi Association and the Kuvuka Hub leadership, represented by the Partnership, Marketing and Sustainability Lead, both organizations explored areas of mutual interest and agreed to establish a collaborative partnership aimed at empowering artisans and strengthening the local innovation ecosystem.
Under this partnership, Kuvuka Hub will serve as a Centre for Technology and Digital Skills Training and workshop, delivering capacity-building programmes, practical workshops, innovation sessions, and hands-on learning opportunities for members of the Mafundi Association and the wider Kigamboni community. The collaboration seeks to equip artisans with modern digital competencies, improve service quality, encourage innovation, and prepare the workforce for the rapidly evolving digital economy.
A key priority of the partnership will be the digital transformation of the automotive sector through the Garage-to-Garage Improvement Program, an initiative led by Auto365 Africa in collaboration with Kuvuka Hub. The programme promotes digital vehicle pre-inspections, modern diagnostic technologies, digital customer service, business management practices, and continuous professional development for automotive workshops. By introducing these technologies and practical skills, the partnership aims to improve service standards, increase transparency, and enhance customer confidence while supporting the long-term growth and competitiveness of automotive businesses in Kigamboni.
The meeting also marked an important leadership milestone. Hub Director of Kuvuka Hub, was appointed by the Chairperson to lead the Automotive Sector of the Kigamboni District Mafundi Association. In this role, he will spearhead initiatives that promote automotive digitalization, innovation, and professional development while supporting the ongoing formalization of the association's automotive sector leadership structure.
The collaboration further recognizes the leadership contributions of Kuvuka Hub members at the ward level:
These appointments demonstrate the growing trust between Kuvuka Hub and the Mafundi Association and reinforce a shared commitment to developing capable leaders who will champion skills development, innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital transformation within their communities.
Speaking on the partnership, Kuvuka Hub reaffirmed its commitment to creating opportunities that bridge technology, industry, and community development. By working closely with local artisans and industry stakeholders, the Hub aims to build a future-ready workforce equipped with the knowledge and digital skills needed to thrive in Tanzania's evolving economy.
This partnership represents more than institutional collaboration—it is a shared investment in people, innovation, and sustainable community development.
Together, Kuvuka Hub and the Kigamboni District Mafundi Association are laying the foundation for a stronger, more digitally empowered artisan ecosystem that will contribute to economic growth and improved livelihoods across Kigamboni District.
